Wed. August 5th @ 7PM*
Hone your audition skills with Broadway performer and vocal instructor, Ric Ryder!
Ric will begin this Master Class by teaching a quick lesson/overview on the basics of auditioning: walking into the room, a very brief attire/comfortable-in-your-skin-clothes chat, pianist etiquette, etc. Students will have prepared a 16 and 32 bar cut of contrasting musical theatre songs (as well as bring their "audition book" for alternate options). Each student will then “audition” for Ric and the rest of the students in a loving and safe atmosphere. After each “audition”, Ric will provide invaluable constructive criticism and praise steering the student into the right direction. Once each student has had the chance to “audition”, Ric will recap everything we have learned, discuss "agents" and open the floor for a "Q and A." You won't want to miss this incredibly intimate and career changing experience! You'll feel so much more comfortable in the room!
*This is a two hour class on Wednesday, August 5th from 7 PM - 9 PM.
